Aaron Nickas

Aaron Nickas became a member of the Shared Imaging family four and a half years ago as a part time PET/CT technologist in Pennsylvania. When we secured the PET/CT business of a large healthcare system on the East coast in June of 2020, Aaron accepted the position to scan full time in Baltimore, MD. Since then, Aaron has been the anchor at the hospital in Baltimore working with the director, PETNET and our call center to ensure operations exceed expectations every day.

Over the last 6 months, there have been some employee transitions in the NJ/NY area and Aaron has gone above and beyond to help ensure those transitions have little to no impact on customer service. Every week, Aaron commutes from his home in Maryland to work in Bronx, NY for a day, spends the night to work the next day in Newark, NJ and then commutes back home to finish his week working in Baltimore for three days. His attitude while doing all this is positive and uplifting – the definition of a team player!

Aaron is also inventive! A dose calibrator malfunctioned at one of the NJ/NY locations Aaron was working at and the manufacturer was not able to repair it for a few days. Knowing that this malfunction would result in the cancellation of numerous oncology patients, Aaron took the initiative to investigate the system and realized that he could probably fix this himself. He purchased the necessary cable, inserted it and solved the issue! Miraculously, Aaron was able to complete all patient exams that day, although it meant staying an extra night, and he still made it back to Baltimore for his 6 a.m. start the next day.

Please join us in thanking Aaron Nickas for his continued dedicated service!
