Stories from the Coach: How Shared Imaging Clinical Staff Delivered White Glove Service

Diagnostic imaging has revolutionized the field of medicine, enabling doctors to visualize and diagnose medical conditions with remarkable precision. From X-rays and CT scans to MRIs and ultrasounds, these imaging techniques have played a crucial role in saving countless lives. At Shared Imaging, we put our customers and their patients above all else. Radiologic technologists and imaging aids share inspiring patient stories where diagnostic imaging has made a significant impact on their patients’ lives whether it be diagnosing and treating various medical conditions or just making their procedure easier to handle.

Joseph De Jesus, MRI Technologist

At our facility, we cater to a high volume of patients who require mobile assistance and rely on wheelchairs. To ensure their comfort and convenience, we take the extra step of escorting these patients back to their vehicles or dressing rooms. We understand the importance of allowing them the opportunity to get changed and wait in a designated area until they are ready for us to assist them further.

Karen Roldan, MRI Technologist

During my encounter with a geriatric patient who arrived unaccompanied for a brain scan, I learned that they had experienced a fall and head injury five months ago but had not sought medical evaluation or imaging at the time. The patient had been experiencing feelings of imbalance and dizziness. Upon reviewing the initial series of images, including the localizer and Diffusion scans, I discovered a significant bleed with midline shift. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, I immediately began researching which Radiologist to consult for further evaluation.

After completing the examination, the patient was promptly taken to the Emergency Room for urgent medical intervention. The Radiologist involved in the case expressed deep gratitude, stating that my observation of the extent of the patient’s injury directly contributed to saving their life on that day.

Kimberly Esqueda, Tech Aide

I recently had a patient who was struggling with undergoing her third MRI. To help her through the process, I shared a technique that has worked for me in the past. We decided to try it out by blindfolding her, while I stayed in the room and comforted her by gently rubbing her leg. The patient expressed immense gratitude, stating that she wouldn’t have been able to complete the MRI without my support. Her tears of happiness and appreciation made my entire week.
